Punjab National Bank is one of oldest banks in India. PNB was registered on May 19, 1894. PNB is the second largest government-owned commercial bank in India. Founder of PNB was Dyal Singh Majithia and Lala Harkishen Lal. Having 4,500 branches across 764 cities in India, Punjab National Bank is the second largest nationalized bank after State Bank of India.
There are various branches of Punjab National Bank in various overseas countries. In 2008, PNB opened a branch in Hong Kong. PNB braches are in Kabul, Dubai, Shanghai, Karachi and London.
