This is the last semester of UPA Government and the cabinet announced good news for Central Government employees. Government announces 6 percent hike in DA. The previous one was 16% and now they will get 22% DA on basic salary.

The hike will be effective from January 1 and will be payable from March 1 this year, said by home minister P Chidambaram
