National Talent Search Examination (NTSE) is planned to offers scholarship for talented students. NTSE is held by NCERT.
Information provided here about NTSE Examination 2009 is for class VIII students only. There will be 1000 scholarship will be awarded on the basis of NTSE examination conducted by NCERT. Awardees will receive Rs. 500/- per month.

Selection Criteria:
There will be two stage selection processes. One who passed the first one, then called for second stage examination.
Important Dates for NTS Examination 2009
For Stage 1 Exam
30 August, 2008 – Last date of submission of exam date
15 November, 2008 – Date of exam in Mizoram, Meghalaya, Nagaland and Andaman and Nicobar Islands
16 November, 2008 – Exam date in all other states and UTs
For Stage 2 Exams
10 May, 2009 – Examination in all states and UTs.
Announcements of Results
Stage 1 results will be announced by State Government / UTS and Stage 2 results will be announced by NCERT. Visit www.ncert.nic.in for more.
Fees
Visit www.ncert.nic.in for fees. However no fees will be charged for stage 2 examination.
